This is a phase 2 recipe & is used in the very Low Calorie Diet. When eaten with a melba toast or a breadstick it can be used as a meal. Here is a simple method of making this soup. Always check that the cabbage is fresh with no wilting leaves. Wash it thoroughly under running water to wash any dirt off. Buy cabbages from organic farms as much as possible.
- 100 gms chicken
- 2 cups of chopped cabbage
- 2 cups of HCG approved chicken broth
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped onion
- Use seasonings of choice like paprika, salt & pepper.
Heat the broth with the chicken & spices. When the chicken is cooked let it simmer for a while then add the cabbage. Cook till cabbage is tender. As the cabbage will lose some of its water & wilt there is no need to add any more water to this soup.
